Brynn,
My time with you and your family during your Martintown at-home newborn session was so incredibly sweet. There was nothing complicated about it – I got to meet your dogs, hung out while your parents snuggled with you and decided who was going to get to wrap their arms around you at any given moment, and laughed when you had some seriously impressive gas – but it gave me some insight into the family that has welcomed you so gleefully.
Your Mom is one of the most relaxed and contented new moms that I’ve ever met. I get the feeling that she’s going to help you learn to take things in stride, to laugh when things go wrong and are out of your control, and to show love with honesty. Your Dad, on the other hand, will teach you to be goofy, to admire your mom’s best qualities, and to find what you love and revel in the joy it brings you. I know this because that’s exactly how I saw each of them behave around and towards you.
I never grew tired of listening to the love in your Dad’s voice when he called you “Brynnie the Pooh” or the way your Mom’s eyes danced with laughter every time she marvelled at how happy your Dad was when he was holding you.
Your dogs, on the other hand, will probably help you get into all kinds of trouble – once they decide that they’re 100% happy to have you around, that is. They have so much personality and are still figuring out who this new little person is who has invaded their home and their lives, but I don’t doubt that you’re going to have all kinds of fun with them.
Baby girl, you mean so much to your family and I know that your parents will devote their lives to helping you feel that deep in your soul.
