This Crysler in-home newborn session was such a cruisy, relaxed experience from start to finish. Myla has happily welcomed her little brother and made it clear that she wants to be involved in everything to do with taking care of him – even if it means poopy diapers while she has her snack. :P She has settled right in to having a baby in the house and this independent little girl is curious about everything to do with him.
Steve and Vanessa have been clients since 2016 and it has been so much fun getting to document their family each time it grows. They have always had a laidback approach to our sessions, which makes me feel like I can shoot anything that catches my attention.
There were so many little surprise finds during my time with the McBains: the contented expression on Steve’s face when he looked down at Clarke; the way that Myla so gently tickled Clarke’s toes; the warmth emanating from Vanessa when Myla hustled over for a brief cuddle. Life is chaotic and messy at the best of times, but this peaceful session gave me a chance to show this family what they’re like when they have a chance to take it easy together.
