Kasandra,

Your Cornwall newborn session was the sweetest, most chilled-out way to spend a morning. You don’t know it yet, but you’ve had the good fortune to join the gentlest of families.

When I joined your family for this session, I was reminded of just how easy-going your dad is. Dads often feel awkward when handling babies as little as you. They turn into these uncertain, kinda-clumsy giants who are afraid they’re going to crush the little human in their hands. Not your dad. “It’s just like handling a football,” he told me, when I commented that he’d clearly always settled into handling you. That pretty much sums up your dad: he figures things out, makes them work, and gets on with life with a giant smile.

Your mom just can’t stop watching you. It’s clear that she’s been waiting for you and is over the moon to finally have you here because she can’t take her eyes off you (unless it’s to roll her eyes at your dad ;) ). Everything you do brings the biggest smile to her face and she seems so much more relaxed when you’re in her arms.

You’re so loved, baby girl. You’re going to grow up and see it for yourself one day, but until then: here’s what life looked like when you were tiny and your parents wanted to hold you every waking moment.

I’m Ang. I’m a documentary family photographer offering coverage like this casual at-home Cornwall newborn session, as well as other moment-driven, family-positive sessions throughout SD&G.
