When Brianna asked if I could do another round of Kemptville family photos with her gang, I was immediately on-board. I’ve been working with the Halls since Hanna first made me double over laughing during her first birthday session, and although many things about my style have changed since then, this sweet family of four are as perfectly photo-worthy as ever.
We decided that we’d meet up and explore a pumpkin patch together, and see what the kids got up to as a way of chronicling one afternoon in their final weeks before becoming a family of five.
The kids could not have been more excited to run, explore, blow off some steam, and choose their pumpkins. Brianna and Luke do a great job of knowing when to give the kids free rein and how to help them in their explorations. They make parenting look easy, even when Brianna is eight months pregnant, and they take it all in stride.
I couldn’t help but smile at the moments of Brianna putting in the work with her family. On the swings, in the hay mow, dusting Sawyer off after one of many tumbles, helping him pee in the bushes or change the kids’ clothes. Being pregnant with your third child is a long way from the experience of your first, but I loved seeing her simultaneously carrying a child and raising her children.
Here’s a look at our time together:
I’m Ang – a Cornwall-based photographer who offers Kemptville family photos that highlight my passion for capturing light and photographing natural moments in life as they happen. My goal is to capture memories that you will cherish once your children are too grown up to curl into your lap for cuddles and the house seems oddly quiet at night. I love meeting new families in their natural environment and getting in amongst the bedlam so that I can document the perfectly imperfect realities of daily life.
