Wooooo-weeee this was a good one! Zach and Shelby’s early spring Glengarry engagement photos were memorable for quite a few reasons. Their session was an example of a time when letting clients lead me to a location really paid off. It was a time when having a dog present resulted in way more laughter than anticipated (see below for the photobomb). It was also the first time that I got to see the expression on Zach’s face every time he looks at Shelby. It’s not often I see someone look at their fiancée with such clear and open adoration, and it has made a lasting impression in my brain.

We had been hoping to plan their engagement session for earlier in the winter, but we got hit with such an extended blast of cold weather, that it was suddenly March before we’d had a chance to thaw. Luckily, we got the perfect mix of snow on the ground and beautifully warm golden sunlight.

These two rocked their photos SO hard! This session, both romantic and playful, was definitely a winter highlight. Shelby and Zach were a great reminder that you can have a great time together and also show a pretty intense connection, all in the same session. It was so much fun finding ways to show off their natural chemistry as we bounced from one pocket of interesting light to the next. Not only did we get to create a gorgeous gallery together, but it made me extra-excited about their backyard Williamstown wedding.

Here are some of my favourites from their session.

I’m Ang – a Cornwall, Ontario-based photographer with a passion for capturing light and photographing the natural chemistry between couples. I love working in a natural environment and challenging myself to capture the scene in creative ways. Engagement sessions are a chance to go adventuring and they often include a starting point or idea and then we see where the evening takes us. Whether you’re looking for an early spring Glengarry engagement session like these two or urban Cornwall engagement photos, start here to see more examples of what can come from our time together.
