Wesley’s Wild West birthday party turned into the perfect opportunity to highlight just how happy this little boy is! I’ve been lucky to work with a lot of really happy little ones, but I’ve honestly never seen a child so happy to show off his chompers. Wesley welcomed everyone with huge grins at every opportunity and took advantage of the time outdoors to explore the yard and watch all of the older kids’ antics.
Sarah did a wonderful job of planning activities that kept all of the kids happy – and worked up an appetite for Ed’s barbecue feast. The Sheriff Hunt assigned the Sheriff and his deputy for the afternoon, while the turkey’s echoing gobble kept everyone intrigued (and amazed). The bandit chase was short lived but let the kids burn off some extra energy after some serious concentration during target practice (I may or may not have taken a couple of shots to the head, but it was totally worth it! ;) ).
We made sure to include a few portraits in the session so that Sarah and Edwin could round out their collection and have some updated family photos, but this was really a session dedicated to documenting an afternoon full of play. Everyone’s enthusiasm for the activities and their doting interest in Wesley made it pretty clear why he’s become such a wonderfully smiley toddler. Being surrounded by so much love can only make a little personality shine even brighter.
