The Gilpins’ Toothbrush Session – Cornwall Family Photojournalism

Meet the Gilpin boys. Shane is three. He takes forever to eat supper because he doesn’t like hot food and he loves jumping. Matthew just learned to crawl a few days before this shoot and he loves surprises – which, when you’re still getting used to how the world works, encompasses pretty much every action in your life. You’ve met these two hooligans once before if you read this post from a few months ago, but Matthew’s changed a little since then. ;)

I joined these guys just in time for supper and for Shane to show off his crash landing skills. Matthew explored the kitchen floor and showed off his “I’m-quietly-contemplating-the-existential-principles-of-life” face while chilling in his Exersaucer. Shane has really taken a shine to his little brother – lucky, because Matthew couldn’t really carry on life being known as “That Guy” (to Shane) for too much longer. Highchair peek-a-boo; couch jumping; ball hockey and bath time were highlights of this particular Toothbrush Session. Can I just say that I love how uninhibited little kids are when it comes time for their baths?! You’d have thought that Crystal had taken Shane to an amusement park with all of the sliding going on in that tub.

Crystal and Adam, thanks for letting me into your home at such a busy stage!

I’m Ang – a Cornwall family photojournalist willing to travel just about anywhere. My passion for capturing light and photographing natural moments in life as they happen leads me to capture memories that you will cherish once your children are too grown up to curl into your lap for cuddles and the house seems oddly quiet at night. I love meeting new families in their natural environment and getting in amongst the bedlam so that I can document the perfectly imperfect realities of daily life. Please explore more of www.momentusstudio.com to see more examples of family photojournalism in Cornwall and the surrounding area.
