Steve & Vanessa – Rural Ontario Engagement Session
Their wedding may have already happened, but I had to share photos from this session because it was such a fun evening!
I met Steve and Vanessa out at their home outside of Crysler, about halfway between Cornwall and Ottawa. Beautiful light, a great property with personal meaning, and a fun couple. I couldn’t wait to go exploring with them. Steve and Van live in a home on the McBain family farm that has served as a starter home for so many McBain families. It’s a little detail about their life together that that I just love. They’re laidback people who love their dog and joking with each other – makes for an easy start to a session!
These two are also super casual with each other, so it was fun finding ways to help them connect throughout the shoot. Steve was an especially good sport; we accidentally scheduled this session right in the middle of draft night. I’ve never been so happy that a session involved a good bit of walking and downtime (meaning Steve could catch up with what he’d missed) so that everyone came out winning. :)
I’m Ang – a Cornwall, Ontario-based photographer with a passion for capturing light and photographing the natural chemistry between couples. I love working in a natural environment and challenging myself to capture the scene in creative ways.
