Thank you for being the best lesson I’ve had in a very long time to find clients who allow me to trust my instincts and roll with my gut.
I love that you lived a day that was so incredibly true to your own style and personality. I don’t know how many times I’ve told clients to plan a day based on what’s important to them and not one based on impersonal wedding traditions. So, we met up at Royal Ottawa Golf Club and had games of pool and ping pong, mimosas with giant strawberries and casual lunch filled with laughter; we had short and sweet portraits and LOTS of time surrounded with people you love. I can’t think of a better way to spend a wedding day.
This day was filled with the happiest of tears, joyful moments of jubilance, strong hugs and touching proclamations not only of love but also of admiration and friendship.
There were so many little details for me to revel in throughout this day…the way that Chris (Duncan’s girlfriend) looked at Katie with so much love; Christine’s fingers automatically going to her collarbone every time she was so excited that she could barely contain it; Duncan sharing his M&Ms with Grandma; Jason being so overjoyed to see Katie coming down the stairs that he rushed and met her before she reached him; oh, and all. of. the. tears.
