The Rowes – Any Anything-But-Traditional Cornwall Family Portrait Session
Oh, the Rowes. If there’s one thing I can tell you about these guys it’s that my time with them is never boring. Melissa’s maternity session featured races and spinning and throwing Willy. When she got in touch to schedule their session to mark Gwen’s birthday, she told me that they really connected with the active portraits from their maternity session and would really love to do more. Game. ON.
For our session, we set about exploring a tract of land with some gorgeous light (for me) and lots of room to run (for them). I know that they really play with their kids – in fact, sometimes it’s hard to not just sit back and marvel at it. They have so much fun together! Knowing this, all I had to do was encourage them to pick up their kids, and natural habits took care of the rest. There was swinging, tickling, hanging, climbing, chasing, tossing. Oh, and a lot of laughing. ;) FUN.
When you plan your own family photos, consider making it a candid Cornwall family portrait session. Put your kids in clothes they can play in; wear something fun-but-comfortable; get in there and enjoy your kids – and don’t worry about the camera! I promise that you won’t regret it.
