Michelle & Chico – Cornwall & Area Engagement Photography
When we were planning their session, Michelle suggested that I meet her and Chico at the site of their future home for this engagement session. When I pulled up, I saw that the house was in progress (Chico is building it himself) and it sits in the middle of a vast tract of land, so I did a quick bit of exploring before seeing Michelle and Chico pull in.
It’s worth noting that these two met with me in June for a wedding consultation for a wedding they were planning in October. Of that year. And then they had to move the date forward a week. Less than three months to put an event together and neither of them were worried. Together for 12 years, these two are such a relaxed, easy fit that a three month planning period completely made sense (and was awesome).
I was so excited about the location choice – a huge field, in the middle of poison parsnip territory, that was brimming with goldenrod instead of nasty noxious weeds. Incredible. Oh, and they had a random rusted-out chest freezer out there, too. :) I’d found my happy place.
These two were sooooooo relaxed and they fit together with the ease that comes from knowing someone since early teenagerhood (yup, it’s now a word). We laughed our way through the session and I marvelled at the magic these two created for me. Chico’s not a man of many words, but he knows how to love Michelle, and that shows.
These two are now married (!), so I’m playing catch up with this, but here are some of my most favourite shots – and this was a TOUGH choice because they were an awesome pair.
