Looking Forward – Cornwall Engagement Photos
2016 is a year of change for Moment.us. With two new team members (Kristin will be joining me on shoots, and Allison is – thankfully! – joining me in the office to save me from my spreadsheets), an even stronger commitment to documenting families locally and abroad, some very key education investments, a renewed determination to make the business and customer service sides of photography successful for Moment.us, and the busiest wedding season we’ve had since we started, it’s going to be an exciting year.
My 2016 couples have been on the ball about everything to do with their weddings, but especially their engagement sessions, and this made me realise that it’s about time I start sharing the faces of some of these great people who are helping to make this year so memorable. I haven’t had a chance to work with all of them and there are a few who won’t get to see me until their wedding day because that’s the way it goes sometimes, but I’ve been having fun getting to know everyone all the same!
Ever wonder why engagement sessions happen? Hint: it’s not a case of vanity. Sure, it’s fun to get dolled up and go take some fun romantic photos, but that’s not the ultimate goal here. My goal with these sessions is to spend a bit of time getting to know these couples. I want to know what makes them tick; what they find funny or interesting; what makes them click with each other when the camera is pointed at them. Your wedding day isn’t the time to be trying to figure out how your photographer works – there’s enough other stuff going on without that having to be one of the thoughts in your head. So I spend about an hour and a half walking and chatting with these people and yep, we get some fun shots, too.
So here are the faces (or silhouettes!) of some folks who are going to be spending A LOT of time with me this year! :) I’m booking 2017 wedding dates now, so if you’re wanting to chat about your plans, get in touch soon!
I’m Ang – a Cornwall, Ontario-based photographer (available worldwide) and has with a passion for capturing light and photographing natural moments as they happen, whether during a winter wedding or a summer engagement session. My goal is to capture memories that you will cherish once your wedding dress is wrapped up and the flowers have dried. I love meeting new couples and getting in amongst the wedding day bedlam so that I can document the emotions and truly special moments.
