Finnley’s First Birthday – Cornwall Child Photographer
You may remember Finnley from her 8-month session at the farm with her brother Hudson. This time around, Erin brought Finnley to the house so that we could choose a location based on weather. Lucky for us, it was warm enough to be outside, so Finnley got to play in front of a new set I’ve been working on (stay tuned for Christmas session details) before being presented with her cake. I can’t say that she was enthralled with the opportunity for a morning sugar rush (whereas I, on the other hand, would’ve happily dug in and made sure I had some tea alongside it), but she definitely had a great time getting her hands (and feet….and romper….) good and sticky!
Cue bath time.
I think this may be my new favourite summer activity. Outdoor baths with a toddler who loves water is the greatest thing to photograph. If I had known how much fun Finnley was going to have with her bath, we probably would’ve skipped right to the cake and then chucked her in the tub. This little girl LOVES water! (Soap suds, maybe not so much, but she had nice clean intestines the day after. ;) ) Seeing the pure glee on her face during this part of the session was so amazing! At one stage, I wasn’t too sure we were actually going to be able to get her out of there; she was having so much fun it almost felt cruel.
