Jane and Andre,
When we first met here in Cornwall to discuss your micro-wedding, I really wasn’t sure what to expect, but it *definitely* wasn’t what I ended up seeing that day. What. A. Day!
You welcomed me in so whole-heartedly that I felt like family. It was exactly the sort of lighthearted affair that dreams are made of. From Andre’s last-minute tree pruning, to Jane and Mylene’s false start down the aisle because of a missing officiant, it was clear that you were there for a good time. You told me when we met that you enjoy one another’s company and the best part about being together is that you get to laugh together – and that’s exactly what I saw. You were both so at ease with one another that it felt like I was along for the ride rather than directing anything.
Because I’m used to having a whole day (plus an engagement session) to get to know my couples, short wedding contracts can leave me scrambling to feel connected to my clients because we’re just getting warmed up when it’s time for me to leave. It made my heart so happy to leave you feeling like I’d really seen you both for who you are and the way that you value those around you.
Here’s a little look at some highlights from our time together:
I’m Ang. I’m an inclusive, Cornwall, Ontario-based photographer offering wedding and documentary family coverage to families of all kinds locally and worldwide. Visual storytelling is what I do best, so laughter and connection are important in my work. I love working with couples who are emotionally present on their wedding day – no matter how many other people are present – and who love spending time laughing together. Celebrations like this Cornwall micro-wedding are a great example of the kind of day I love being involved in. If you’d like to see another example of how I approached a small gathering, start here.
