Every time I get together with the Loseys, I’m a little sad when it’s time to leave, and this Cornwall backyard summer family session was absolutely not an exception. Not only do these muses of mine keep me fueled with creative inspiration, but I feel like I should bring wine with me so that I can just sit down and laugh with Nathan and Chantal about how ridiculous their girls are after our session is over. Their life is full of wild, energetic, expressive, care-free moments and it’s almost impossible for me not to obsess over their family after our session ends.

Amélie, you’ve become the care-free sister in a group of three girls who love fiercely, have big feelings, and bring so much joy to the world around them. It’s often easy for the third child to just blend in and get sort of lost once the kids outnumber the parents, but you bring so much delight to your family that it’s impossible not to see you for the vibrant character you are.

This session will always bring a little flutter of happiness to my stomach when I think of it because capturing such true moments of childhood and knowing that they hold meaning for my families is always something special to me. After five full years and over a dozen sessions together, these guys have cemented a very special place in my heart.

Side note: This session is a great reminder for my maternity package clients that your final session doesn’t need to be a birthday party! You can give a nod to the birthday (note the highchair décor) or you can plan it at an altogether different time and just focus on what your kids are up to at that particular moment.
