Kristin’s second wedding shooting solo under our new Sweetbrier Weddings brand was a memorable one! This was our first Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm wedding and we really hope that we’ll get a chance to go back soon because there are so many ideas still floating around in our heads.
Katie and Collin exchanged vows on a beautifully sunny August afternoon during a personal and meaningful ceremony with two officiants. How awesome that a family friend was able to add such a personal touch and that we got to pleasure of working with Jon Martin once again (his humour brightens any wedding ceremony).
Personalised vows lead to two things: tears and beautiful photos. Katie and Collin wrote their own vows and read their own earnest promises with such genuine heart that there were plenty of tissues making appearances in the crowd.
Katie and Collin’s wedding party were so dang easy to work with. They were lighthearted and in great spirits all day and made everything so much easier. There were several little ones involved, including Katie and Collin’s son, and that added a little touch of cuteness to every part of the day (particularly when Gibson came running at the camera during family photos).
Guests were treated to a taco bar (ummmmm….YES!) and joined Katie and Collin on the dance floor right from the beginning of the night as these two celebrated by performing their first song instead of dancing to it. How awesome!
We worked with some wonderful people on this day and can’t thank the team at Stanley’s enough for their professionalism. Venue: Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm. Makeup: Melissa Itwar Artistry.
