We’ve had such a huge response to this wedding that it feels great to finally get to share it here!
Jenny and Clark have been the sweetest pair to work with, right from the very beginning. They’re thoughtful, laid back and quick to smile. None of that hurts our feelings.
Their Long Sault Parkway wedding marked the end of the season for both Kristin and I – since I had the day off, I tagged along with Kris to act as her assistant for the afternoon. Little did we know, we’d be doing some sunbathing that day because the forecast set us up with a spectacular day for a riverfront wedding. With barely a cloud in the sky the whole afternoon, we took advantage of some glorious late-season dramatic light and the awesome connection these two share.
I loved that they were able to have Clark’s family pastor present as the officiant and that the ceremony was held at the Veenstra family home. There were thoughtful individual touches, from the deep teal suits and Clark’s purple suede shoes to the personalised vows and the Polaroid tree.
Clark added a touch of drama by arriving with the guys on a pontoon; Jenny added her own flair by making an entrance that brought Clark to tears. We brought the wedding party next door for portraits before sending them off in a camper to join their guests for the reception.
When we get the opportunity to work with people like Clark and Jenny, we can only jump at the chance. Their trust in our abilities and their willingness to try anything meant that we were able to make some of my favourite photos to date because they wanted to give us that chance.
Jenny and Clark, we love you! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your day was the perfect way to close out our season.
Enjoy a look at some highlights from our afternoon with this wonderful pair.
