A beautiful walk in the woods with your whole family, stopping to pick up leaves that catch your attention. Time on the back deck with your uncle and grandpa. Chasing the dogs through the yard in the late afternoon sunshine. Preparing for dinner as a family. Sprawling out however feels comfortable on grandma and grandpa’s floor. All of these little activities represent memories that will become part of the Larivieres’ children’s history.
I’m so thankful that this family asked me to join them for a Sunday afternoon together when four generations of their family gathered for a visit. Knowing that there are photos of Granny going for a walk with her grandkids and that the Carrs have a photo of four generations of strong women – those are the sort of things that make these sessions so meaningful.
