Dear Evie
Your mom and dad invited me over to spend an hour and a half with you one day when you were barely two months old. They didn’t want anything complicated; they just wanted to capture a bit of time in their everyday life with you. So that’s what we did.
It turns out that everyday life with you is pretty sweet.
Your mom can’t stop smiling when she looks at you – or even when she talks about you. You’ve made her happy in ways you can’t even imagine, but ways that made the fatigue worth it. She has settled into motherhood so comfortably and multi-tasks like an expert already! Your routine, your personality, your preferences: she’s already got you figured out and seems so content in her new role as your mom.
Your dad loves making fun of your sounds and your many many facial expressions – you make it pretty easy for him because you’re pretty full of character already. Your dad caught me by surprise because he’s so gentle with you and already so comfortable with you in his life. Some dads take awhile to settle in because babies are so small and fragile; they make dads nervous. Not your dad, though. He adores you and all of your quirks.
Evie, you are so loved! One day, I hope that you’ll see it as clearly as I did when I was making these photos.
Here’s a look at a simple afternoon at home with you and your parents.
