The weather couldn’t have made life any brighter for us on the morning of Becky and Luc’s family session. The sun was shining and spring was definitely in the air – the ewes had even started lambing just two hours before I got there.
Luc and Becky have a large country hobby farm with a whole menagerie of creatures to keep them company, including sheep, goats, a couple of enthusiastic pups, and several horses.
A rider since childhood, it makes sense that Becky has passed her interest in horses on to Stella. I’m guessing that Luc is hoping one of the girls inherits his enthusiasm for skidoos, but it looks like they’re on the right track there already. :) It was so interesting to see how capable and comfortable Stella was around the horses. There’s so much sweetness in watching a young girl with an animal she loves. Avery isn’t into riding as much as her sister, but she loves to be involved. I laughed SO hard when she wanted to run the barrels, even though she was on foot. She’s definitely not lacking in energy!
Here’s a look at the results of Becky & Luc’s fun session with the girls!
I’m Ang – a Cornwall, Ontario documentary family photographer with a passion for capturing light and photographing natural moments in life as they happen. My goal is to capture memories that you will cherish once your children are too grown up to curl into your lap for cuddles and the house seems oddly quiet at night. I love meeting new families in their natural environment, whether that’s a rural farm, a back yard in the city, or a local gymnastics lesson, and getting in amongst the bedlam so that I can document the perfectly imperfect realities of daily life. Are you thinking about a hobby farm documentary session of your own? Here’s another example of how I approach these glimpses into rural living.
