Your Mom and Dad invited me into your home so that we could spend some time together and we could make some photos of your family during your first weeks of life.
You might still be little, but you’ve already been on an adventure! You moved to Cornwall when you weren’t even a month old, which told me that your parents are dedicated and are going after big dreams for you.
You are SO alert! While I was with you, you were constantly looking around and you often followed me as I moved around the room. It’s not often that I see a baby as interested in their world as you are. You’re so keen to take in everything around you.
Your Dad is one of the happiest Dads I’ve ever met. There’s no doubt in my mind that you’ve brought something special to his life and that he loves you and your Mom fiercely. He delights in all of your details and quirks – especially the fact that he can put you to sleep just by sitting you on his chest and making you bop to “The Safety Dance.” I’m not going to lie: we’re all kinda questioning your taste in music these days, but it was pretty funny to see just how effective that technique is for putting you to sleep.
Your Mom is so proud of the little person you are. She happily told me all about you and I could see that she’s rising to the challenge of figuring out your rhythms and preferences and riding out the tough parts that come with being a new Mom. She can’t take her eyes off of you and it’s so special to see the way her body closes in around you when she holds you.
You’re in for such a ride with your family! Your Mom and Dad are going to bring humour and thoughtfulness to your life. I can’t wait for you to begin to see it, but I know that you’re already benefiting from it.
