A Year in the Making – Ontario & Quebec Wedding Photography

A couple of weeks ago, Kristin celebrated her first anniversary of joining Moment.us Photography. We spent most of the first six months working on technique and getting her ready to start joining me for weddings and portrait sessions. Kristin scribbled notes furiously during mentoring sessions, observed and asked thoughtful questions between locations on wedding days, and soaked in every ounce of learning presented to her.

When we spent time with Matt from Green Tea Photography doing a day-long mentoring session, I had to prepare a collection of Kristin’s best images. Was I ever surprised to see just how far she’s come in those 12 short months! I was beaming with pride by the end of her portfolio review. She is quickly becoming a great seer – she’s learning to anticipate and time her frames so that she’s working through moments in a way that has taken me a couple of years to learn.

Want to know what adding a second shooter to your day might add to your final gallery of images? A fresh perspective, a different take on creativity, and someone who is really dedicated to pushing their photojournalism skills. Here’s a sample of some of Kristin’s work:
