Josée and Austin drove almost an hour and a half to join me one beautiful morning for a maternity session that was too cute to be real. After choosing a spot down by the river for them, we had a great time moving through the grass and trees (and the river, in my case) to make some gorgeous images that really captured their relationship as it is right now, as well as a touch of drama to show of Josée’s natural beauty. Josée is a petite young woman with an awesome bump, so it was super easy to make her look fantastic; the fact that we had a light breeze to add movement to her hair and the fabric that we were working with didn’t hurt, either! Austin is clearly being as supportive as he can in any way he can, and completely adores Josée; it was so cute to see him be so mindful of her.
When working with two people who seem to be able to quickly forget that there’s a camera pointed at them, it’s not hard to get carried away during a session. These two were so at ease with each other and keen to do anything that was suggested, that it really made me want to go above and beyond the very best I could – so when I got annoyed that I couldn’t get the best shots by standing on the shore around the little inlet, the answer was simple: hike up the leggings and get wet! :)
Josée and Austin, thanks for such a peaceful and beautiful session. You were the perfect pair for this setting!
