You two have been a delight, right from the moment we met at Matt & Sarah’s wedding. I’ll never forget the moment that you both came up to me during their reception to tell me that you were getting married and that you wanted me to be the one to tell that story. We laughed together throughout your engagement session, which told me everything I needed to know about the connection that you two share and the trust that you had in me.

I spent over a year looking forward to your wedding day, which is a dangerous thing for a photographer to do because it can set expectations that may not be met.

What I didn’t know at the time was that your wedding day would go so far past my own expectations and leave me breathless at the end of the day (quite literally – that 12th hour two step that Kris and I did just about wiped me out ;) ). You were both present, involved, honest and completely engaged with those around you for your entire day. I could see you both soaking in every second of your day, trying your best to live it in every cell of your being.

I could see the way you exchanged glances during your ceremony; the way you touched hands; the way you leaned on each other when the emotions of the day overcame you. I could see it in the way that you made each other laugh, held each other close, and relaxed into one another during portraits. I could see it in the way that you showered affection on those around you, making each of your guests know how important and meaningful their presence was for you.

That, my friends, is how you live a wedding day, and you two gave a masterclass.

Thank you endlessly for your trust, your laughter, your honesty and your tears (because we all know I love a good cry on a wedding day and you guys delivered on MULTIPLE occasions). Here’s a little look back on your wildly emotional day.
